SAP BPC 10 (Business Planning and Consolidation) is available for Microsoft and NetWeaver platforms and focusses on User Experience and EPM Capabilities while the previous version 7.5 was putting more priority on the SAP BW and SAP ERP integration.

BPC 7.5 EvDRE workbooks (Data Range Exchange) are not converted as part of the technical System Migration to BPC 10. Yet that function - used to generate BPC Reports and Input Schedules in BPC 7.5 - is still supported in SAP BPC 10. Existing EvDRE reports can thus be opened in the new EPM Add-In for Microsoft Office Excel without any report migration.

A separate EvDRE migration tool is available for converting templates in BPC 10 format. This tool translates the EV functions into their corresponding EPM functions for reports meeting specific restrictions. The reports not satisfying those pre-requisites have to be migrated manually (please contact us for more information).

Even when the BPC 7.5 reports meet those conditions there are additional constraints and best practices to be considered to make sure that the migrated report works in the same way as it was working before.
