Arnaud Vandercam

Arnaud Vandercam has been active in Business Analytics since 2008.

Arnaud graduated with a Master in Economics in 2007 and with a complementary Master in Financial Risk Management in 2012.

Between 2008 and 2019, Arnaud successively worked for Bureau Van Dijk, Amadeus Benelux and Terumo EMEA. Over that period, he held different roles on the business side such as Business Data Analyst and Marketing Intelligence Specialist. He provided research and analysis support to Senior management by improving visibility on business data and opportunities related to customers, competition and industry trends.

Arnaud rapidly gained extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA, M, DAX, data modeling and data transformation. This expertise in combination with his passion for Business Analytics and Data Visualization allowed him to create fully automated reports widely adopted across EMEA region by Terumo Sales and Marketing teams. He was eventually promoted to the position of Business Intelligence Specialist in 2016 and was involved in the decision to roll out Microsoft Power BI on top of SAP BW, as a self-service BI solution at Terumo.

Arnaud has gained extensive knowledge and experience in creating automated Power BI reports and/or dashboards and has been frequently sent to different branches to share his knowledge with colleagues. 

Arnaud joined element61 in 2019.  He further expanded his Microsoft stack knowledge both in SSIS, SSAS Tabular as in Azure data solutions for which he got certified as Azure Data Engineer Associate.  Arnaud could apply his knowledge in various projects going from analysis to design and building solutions in Tabular and Power BI.  After mastering the end-to-end Microsoft stack, Arnaud also added TimeXtender to his skillset.  This allows him to also to build-up the data warehouse layer and publish the data into MS Tabular models by means of the TimeXtender functionality. Arnaud also became a Power Apps expert.

Arnaud's mix of technical Analytics skills with rich business skills also makes him an excellent consultant for being involved in user requirement analysis for Business Analytics & Data Governance projects (Data Quality, Master Data, Metadata-projects).
