Steven Van Damme

Steven Van Damme holds a Master's in Commercial Sciences from the European University College Brussels (HUB). During his studies, he has also been on Erasmus exchange for one year in Finland. After his studies in Brussels, he successfully completed a Master's in Finance from EADA (Spain).

He started his career as a Business Analyst being responsible for providing insights to the management through reporting, analysis, and financial projections (planning, budgeting, and forecasting). He used SQL and Excel to gather and organize data, conduct analysis, and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports. Based on extensive self-study in the Microsoft BI stack, he created an automated reporting solution using Power BI and DAX, for sales and finance. Based on this experience, Steven decided that Business Analytics would become his professional future.

Steven today is focusing on setting up data lakehouses in Azure and building Power BI reports on top of it. Steven also masters the implementation and customization of our Power BI “Out-of-the-Box” solution for Microsoft Dynamics Navision / Business Central, Dynamics 365, and SAP S4/HANA. Next to this, in line with the fast-moving evolutions to the Cloud, Steven proved his knowledge by certifying himself as a Databricks Data Engineer Associate.

His knowledge in BI together with his background in finance allows him to serve management with the information they need to make strategic, operational, and tactical decisions.
