Thibault Verduyn

Thibault Verduyn graduated in June 2020 with a Master of Science in Business Engineering, specializing in Data Analytics, from Ghent University. During his studies, he developed a strong interest in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and Business Intelligence as ways to transform data into strategic value. This led him to start working as an Analytics Architect at the Qlik Competence Center of element61 in September 2020. 

During his time at element61, Thibault became fully certified in Qlik Sense, as a Business Analyst, Data Architect, and System Administrator. In addition, Thibault has experience with the Qlik Cloud product, is certified as a Qlik Partner Cloud Analytics Sales Specialist, and has several hundred man-days of experience with QlikView. This means he masters the entire Qlik product portfolio, which is evident from the wide range of projects Thibault has contributed to. He has guided multiple clients in migrating and/or upgrading their Qlik products, worked on ETL and data warehousing in Qlik, and built numerous Qlik applications in both the back-end (data modeling) and the front-end. The variety of projects is also reflected in the diverse sectors Thibault has worked for, including supply chain, transport and logistics, (wholesale) trade and services, manufacturing, and construction. 

Thibault has also frequently shared his knowledge with clients by providing various training sessions. He has delivered training for both Qlik Developers and Qlik Designers in QlikView, Qlik Sense, and Qlik Cloud. 

In addition to his role as a Qlik consultant, Thibault has also taken steps within the Microsoft stack. He has obtained certificates for Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, and the PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification. 

Besides his daily role as a Qlik consultant at element61, Thibault has also taken a leading role in organizing after-work activities. Together with colleagues Hannah and Fabian, he founded the unofficial element61 After Work Committee, which organizes monthly activities. 

Outside of work, Thibault is a beer enthusiast. In 2023, he started a two-year course as a Zythologist at Syntra to further expand his knowledge in this area. This knowledge comes in handy on various occasions and fits perfectly with element61’s DNA of “knowledge sharing”.
