SAP Business Intelligence & BW implementation in Telecom sector
The element61 SAP BW Competence Center has been leading an SAP BW 7.0 implementation at Tecteo between 2009 and 2013.
The main focus areas of the Business Intelligence project are marketing related reporting on top of SAP CRM and financial reporting on top of SAP IS-U.
The main responsibilities of the element61 team consisted of:
- The complete (re)design and implementation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture with a layered datamodel. The layered model has proven its use very quickly as numerous re-initialisations of dataloads, due to changing requirements, have been avoided after the architectural redesign.
- Performance tuning of existing reports. Substantial performance improvements were obtained by modifying the dimensional model of some InfoCubes (average query performance improved by 50%).
- The implementation of very detailed and advanced financial reports and a pseudo billing engine in SAP BW to expose loopholes in the invoicing process.
- The roll-out of marketing and call center KPI's, customer lifecycle analysis, churn ratios.
