The project consisted of building a data warehouse/reporting solution in SQL Server/SSIS and Cognos BI. The KPI’s reporting solution was used for Finance Shared Service Center performance management and end-to-end process improvement. KPI’s focussed on key performance drivers of the process, and on the improvement potential. In addition, number of KPI’s are selected to monitor service levels and are part of the Service Level Agreement established between the SSC and its customers. Service Level Agreement measures indicate whether a service level agreed will be achieved or not, or has been achieved or not.
The objective was to reduce:
- manual effort in KPI calculations by replacing manual excels and data requests
- manual effort in monitoring of the KPI’s by developing a query model layer and a KPI dashboard
