Principal Analytics Architect

Peter Jensen has been active in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing since 2008, with about 10 years of prior exposure to using SQL Server as a database-platform. Peter graduated in Applied Information Technology at the Sint-Lodewijk Instituut, now known as Karel De Grote Hogeschool.

He started his professional career as a Cobol and Progress developer at Soft Cell.  After getting more experienced at Gazet van Antwerpen and Gitek Software (now Sogeti), he became a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Business & IT in 1999.  At Deloitte, Peter focussed on SQL Server development and, next to being a functional expert in HR-processes, he took up the role of project and account manager. As Senior Manager he was responsible for large projects at URS (Towage and Salvage Union) and Smit Salvage & Towage.

After implementing SAP Business Objects at URS and New Wave Logistics, and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services at URS, Peter got more interested in Business Intelligence. In 2009, Peter left Deloitte and choose to focus completely on BI & data warehousing.  Since then he developed a track record of successful BI-implementations based on TimeXtender (as ETL solution) and Targit (as BI front end). Peter gained hands-on experience in the Microsoft SQL Server BI Suite with Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services. He was also involved in Tableau Desktop & Server implementations. Peter is Prince2, TimeXtender (Solutions Architect - Building Modern Data Estates) and Targit certified. Nowadays, since TimeXtender evolved as well, Peter also focuses on the use of Azure tools. Thanks to his solid knowledge and experience, Peter is also coaching some colleagues in TimeXtender to allow us to scale up our TimeXtender competence within the team.

Due to many years of experience in technical and non-technical functions, Peter has an all-round IT profile capable of acquiring fast insight into the customer’s business processes, challenging them and suggesting and implementing best-fit solutions.

In his spare time, Peter plays tennis, padel and table tennis.
