SAP Business Analytics:
delivering Business Intelligence and Performance Management to your organization.

Join us on November 29th, 2012 at our annual SAP customer day focusing on delivering better, more accurate and dynamic Budgets, Forecasts and Financial Reports using the SAP Business Analytics portfolio.

Following the integration of the CFObelux EPM business unit within element61, the scope of this year’s event has broadened considerably. Besides our loyal Finance audience we are looking forward to welcome your ICT-colleagues. Next to the traditional SAP BPC customer cases, SAP BPC best practices and live demo sessions, there will be sessions focusing on the integration aspects with SAP Business Warehouse and SAP BusinessObjects.

There will also be time to look at SAP innovations and more recent additions to the Business Analytics portfolio such as Disclosure Management, Dashboards through Visual Intelligence, Scorecarding through Strategy Management as well as EPM on Demand, SAP’s recently announced HANA cloud based EPM solution.

Agenda:

12.00 - 13.00 Welcome & Lunch
13.00 - 13.30 Introducing element61
13.30 - 14.15 From Sales planning to full P&L Forecasting (customer testimonial)   SAP Strategy Management (solution demo)

Azelis replaced their Excel-based budgeting and forecasting solution by a fully integrated SAP BPC budgeting and forecasting application including Sales planning, SG&A as well as FTE planning and NWC.

There is a general consensus, ever since Kaplan & Norton published "The Balanced Scorecard” in 1992 (exactly 20 years ago), that Strategy Management through Scorecarding is the way to systematically coordinate and align resources and actions with mission, vision and strategy throughout an organization. In this session, we will demonstrate why, with converging BI and EPM solutions such as SAP Strategy Management, supported by a unified Data Warehouse, we might be closer than ever to be able to achieve this goal.
14.15 - 15.00 Best Practices in migrating to SAP BPC 10 (customer testimonial)   SAP Disclosure Management (solution demo)
Euronav is our first SAP BPC customer that migrated from version 7 to version 10. They will explain why they choose to migrate, what to bear in mind and what their experience has been during and after the initial migration.   Even for organizations that have successfully deployed statutory consolidation and management reporting solutions, there is often still a gap to bridge between the production of the figures and the release of internal and external reporting consuming a lot of manual work. New solutions that automate these "Last mile of Finance" activities have emerged over the last years. During this session you will discover how SAP Disclosure Management can help you to streamline and automate your reporting process and generate your financial statements automatically.
15.00 - 15.30 Coffee break
15.30 - 16.15 Best Practices in integrating SAP BW with SAP BPC (insight)   SAP Visual Intelligence (product demo)
Since its initial release the integration capabilities of SAP BPC (version for NetWeaver) with SAP (BW) have evolved considerably and now offer a much broader set of possibilities out of the box. However there are still several best practices and tips to take into account when designing an efficient SAP BPC/BW solution. This session will help you understand the indepth integration.   SAP Visual Intelligence software takes data discovery to another level. A desktop version of SAP BusinessObjects Explorer, this innovative application helps users ignite their creativity with beautiful and interactive visualizations, allowing them to ask any question without the need for predefined queries, reports or dashboards.
16.15 - 16.45 Hands on report building in the new EPM Add-in of SAP BPC 10 (insight)
Together with the arrival of SAP's EPM 10 release (including SAP BPC 10), the SAP BPC Reporting interface for Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) has been replaced by a common EPM Add-in capable of analyzing data coming from the majority of SAP's EPM Applications (SAP BPC version for NW and MS models, SAP PCM models, SAP BFC MS cubes and SAP BFC BW Infocubes). During this sessions we will demonstrate how to create reports and input schedules using this new reporting interface and provide additional tips and tricks on how to use it in the most efficient way.
16.45 - 17.30 SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0 on SAP BPC and BW (insight & demo)
The latest 4.0 release of the SAP BusinessObjects BI suite offers considerable improvements compared to prior BOBJ versions enabling direct connectivity (using BICS) to SAP's BW environment (with or without SAP BPC BW cubes) for faster report creation and report processing, next to a much better support for multidimensional OLAP structures including SAP BPC MS cubes. During this session we will share with you how SAP BW and SAP BPC customers can benefit from these improvements to make SAP BW and SAP BPC information readily available to a wider audience in Business Intelligence reporting format of choice and combine it with other data sources where needed. We will combine real customer examples from Ablynx with a live demonstration of the capabilities of the entire SAP BusinessObjects Portfolio.
17.30 Drink & Networking
