Visual grouping in Power BI

Visual grouping allows you to group visuals, shapes, textboxes, images and buttons together on your report page. With such a group, it is easier to apply common formatting, to move, resize or layer during report design. Think of grouping like in other Office tools. To group visuals you simply have to select multiple visuals at once (with control + click) and right  click and select ‘group’.

This can also be easily managed from the selection pane, where you can drag and drop visuals between groups, nest a group within another group etc.

But you can go many steps further. You can hide or show a whole group at once, which is done via the same selection pane. When you want to enhance your report with interactive buttons and bookmarks to control when visuals appear or not, it becomes far more easy to work with the right grouping setup!
