Within the AIH (Analytical Information Hub), the DTP (Data Transformation Package) offers a range of operations. Did you know that next to the quite straight forward “Insert..” and “Enrichment…” operations, there is also a built-in analytical allocation available? Let’s illustrate by this example:
You only need to know the dataset that contains the amounts that need to be allocated and a (different) dataset that contains the drivers for the allocation.
Within the details, you can identify the precise restricted data region, from the dataset to allocate. In our example, we want to allocate the amounts of the Overhead costs:
The driver can be defined and restricted as needed. In our example we use the productive cost centre node:
And there you go, in no time, we set up an overhead costs allocation towards productive cost centres, a typical element of getting data into a managerial view.
