Senior Analytics Architect
Gary graduated in 2013 from ESI Brussels with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and immediatly started working in Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing.
His first experience with Business Intelligence was during his internship at SAS Belux, where he created a PHP-based management tool linked to SAS Visual Analytics. Thanks to this opportunity, he started working as a SAS consultant for Business & Decision for a leading bank.
In 2014, Gary moved on to Microsoft Business Analytics technology and grew fond of it. Over the years, Gary has worked on projects for clients such as Test-Aankoop, Proximus and AG Insurance where he acquired an extensive knowledge of SQL Server and all the relevant modules of the Microsoft BI Suite (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, MDS & Power BI).
Having worked on large-scale environments, Gary understands the real-life constraints and always tries to find the best solution for the given context while keeping performance and best practices in mind. He also understands the power of Data and works closely with stakeholders to create efficient and impactful dashboards with tools like Power BI. This helps stakeholders to visualise their business in a user friendly way and helps them make the best decisions.
Not afraid of challenges, Gary sometimes also takes on other responsibilities such as Scrum Master - for which he is certified, Technical Analyst and Architect.
Gary is open-minded and eager to learn and follows the rapid evolution of cloud computing technologies, including TimeXtender as ETL automating tool as Microsoft Azure in which he certified as Azure Data Engineer Associate.
