Leverage customer data on a Data Lakehouse

Your role

Customer Data Platform (CDP) is a system that collects and organizes customer data across multiple touchpoints and is utilized by marketing teams to gain a comprehensive view of customer behavior. It is data coming from various sources like web activity, mobile apps, and customer interactions across platforms, which is then harmonized and made actionable for personalized marketing strategies. With the integration of Snowplow on Databricks Lakehouse, we are setting the stage for a cutting-edge approach to managing and activating customer data at scale.

This internship offers an opportunity to work on the forefront of data engineering and analytics, leveraging Databricks Lakehouse and Snowplow to implement a robust CDP. You will be involved in the end-to-end process of collecting, processing, and activating large sets of customer data to drive insights and personalized customer experiences.

 

Your profile

Goal:

  • Work with Python, Spark, and Databricks Lakehouse to implement and optimize a Customer Data Platform using Snowplow for real-time data collection and processing.
  • Gain hands-on experience with data engineering practices and analytics on a modern data platform, focusing on customer data integration, processing, and activation for marketing purposes.
  • Explore and implement data quality measures, ensuring high standards of data integrity and usability for analytics and machine learning applications.
  • This internship will cover both technical and business aspects, including how to manage and activate customer data effectively and efficiently, and how to measure and monitor data quality and performance.

The student will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a real-world scenario, applying their academic knowledge to solve practical challenges in data and AI.

As a trainee, we expect you to:

  • Translate your academic knowledge into practical data solutions and gain firsthand experience in data engineering and analytics.
  • Engage in data development using Python and SQL within the Databricks Lakehouse environment.
  • Demonstrate your ability to document and report on your work through presentations and demos.
  • Exhibit creativity and innovative thinking in tackling the challenges of implementing a CDP.
