Pidpa is short for Provinciale en Intercommunale Drinkwater-maatschappij der Provincie Antwerpen.
Pidpa provides water to the region of Antwerp (65 municipalities) and, more recently, also started maintaining sewers for a number of cities in the province. Being one of the biggest Flemish water companies, they provide almost 500.000 customers or more than 1.000.000 inhabitants of the province of Antwerp with tasteful and pure drinking water at home. Every day, more than 175 million liters of water are delivered. Pidpa has at its disposal an extensive infrastructure: 42 water towers, 22 force up-stations and a distribution network of more than 13,000 kilometers.
