Bjorn Van Damme is active in Corporate Performance Management since 2000 and one of the most experienced SAP BPC experts in the local market place.
Bjorn Van Damme graduated as Master in Economics at the University of Brussels in 1998. He joined the Belgian National Railways (NMBS/SNCB) as Financial Analyst where he was responsible for the implementation of a management reporting solution for the commercial real estate division.
Early 2000, Bjorn joined ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide Headquartes, the mother company of an international freight forwarding group and also a subsidiary of the NMBS/SNCB Group, where he was responsible for the management reporting and acted as Financial Controller. In 2002, ABX LOGISTICS was the first customer to buy OutlookSoft (now known as SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation) for consolidation purposes. Bjorn was responsible for the implementation and in 2003 he picked up the role as consolidator for the ABX Group. In 2004, Bjorn further developed and implemented OutlookSoft at ABX Group for budgeting, forecasting and long term planning purposes.
In 2005, he joined OutlookSoft Benelux where he was responsible for the implementation of OutlookSoft in the area of consolidation, budgeting and planning. Working for clients with various reporting requirements (BEGAAP, IFRS, USGAAP, ...), he gained further expertise in the domain of financial reporting.
In February 2006, Bjorn founded CFObelux, together with Frank Lehouck and Rita Buyse (both former KPMG). CFObelux had their main focus on providing implementation services in the domain of financial reporting and became a Services Partner of OutlookSoft Benelux. At CFObelux, Bjorn was responsible for project delivery and pre-sales on SAP BPC (former OutlookSoft).
He joined element61 in 2012, where he became partner and now leads the practice for Corporate Performance Management.
Bjorn’s main focus is on project delivery and pre-sales in the area of Corporate Performance Management. His financial background combined with a large experience in software implementation supporting financial processes, both from a client perspective as well as from a supplier perspective, is a key element in delivering added value for financial reporting projects.
In his spare time, Bjorn plays soccer and enjoys cycling.
