Data Scientist
Jana graduated as a Master in Business Engineering (specialized in Operations Management) at Ghent University in 2017. Since she had a strong interest in data & analytics as well, she wrote her thesis on analytical techniques for churn prediction in B2B. Her first working experience was a customer experience consultant where she worked for 3 years as a project lead for data related projects.
After her first working experience, Jana was eager to learn more about data and analytics. This is why she started a Master in Data Science for Business at the University of Ghent in 2020. This allowed her to develop her analytical skills further and learn/practice several programming languages (Pyspark, Python, SQL).
Jana joined element61 in september 2021 as a Data Scientist. Since then, she has worked on a broad set of projects ranging from cloud migration, data modelling, reporting to data science. She is certified in Spark Development, Azure Data Engineering and Power BI and always eager to learn more.
In her free time, she enjoys going out with family or friends, travel, read and find new recipes to try out.
