Analytics Architect since September 2024
Graduated in 2024 - Master Business Engineering in Data Analytics - UGent
During my studies, I joined the student organisation Everest Analytics to see how what we learn at university is applied in real life. That’s where I first came into contact with element61, working on a prediction model to analyse which factors lead to child labour. We also had the chance to do an internship, and after my positive experience, choosing element61 was an easy decision.
After graduating, I joined element61 as an Analytics Architect. What appealed to me most was the open culture (managers and partners sit next to you during lunch), the strong expertise, and the focus on learning and personal growth. I really appreciated the opportunity to further expand my knowledge through the knowledge-sharing days, where people present the newest technologies, and the personal development days, where you get time to study for an exam.
Since then, I’ve worked on different projects for various clients, which has helped me gain hands-on experience and grow quickly in coding and in understanding what clients really want. What I especially appreciate is that it’s okay not to know everything. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, and there’s always someone in the company you can rely on — in almost all cases, someone knows the answer and is more than willing to help.
