The company Sax Sanitair was founded in Merelbeke near Ghent by Laurent Sax. In 1990 the company was taken over by Ronald Kerckhaert. At that time, the company had 12 employees and a turnover of 2.5 million euros.
From 1990 Sax worked specifically on growth in order to be able to help the end customer even better. The ambition was to expand rapidly in order to be able to provide a total service, and this was also achieved thanks to technical, commercial and financial reforms.
Sax has grown from a sanitary wholesale company to a technical group thanks to the many people with technical expertise.
Meanwhile Sax, Lambrechts and Schrauwen are part of the international group SLS.
Sax, Lambrechts and Schrauwen have more than 20 points of sale in Belgium spread over 6 provinces. In addition, the group has 3 distribution centres in 3 different provinces with a total storage area of more than 50,000 m².
