Principal Cloud & Infra Architect
Pascal has been a specialist in infrastructure and identity engineering since 1999. His professional journey began with a unique foundation, completing his studies as a carpenter before a pivotal career switch in 1999, when Econocom gave him the opportunity to advance into the ICT world. This "builder’s mindset" remains central to his approach today, allowing him to bridge the gap between technical grit and high-level global strategy.
After building a strong foundation supporting enterprise environments like Mobistar and ABB, Pascal spent several years at SPE Luminus focusing on reliability in the regulated energy sector. During this period, he graduated with an Associate of Science in Telecommunications at GroupT Leuven, where his thesis on ICA protocol optimisation was successfully implemented in production.
In 2007, he joined the international building materials group Etex. Over nearly two decades, he shaped the company’s global landscape by designing a new Active Directory forest and improving the collaboration of 80 legal entities spread over 42 countries by consolidating legacy infrastructures into a single global domain.
In 2021, Pascal transitioned into the role of Product Manager & Infrastructure Architect, shifting his focus to strategic product ownership. In this capacity, he is dedicated to helping the business define and adopt the correct platforms, ensuring technology choices are perfectly aligned with operational needs. He defines the strategy for hosting and hybrid-cloud services, with a deep focus on the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), governance and automation.
By aligning global architectures with GDPR, ISO27001, and NIS2 standards, Pascal ensures that modern infrastructure remains secure and compliant. He excels at introducing cloud governance frameworks and driving cost optimisation and scalability. Today, he is recognised for his ability to translate complex hybrid environments into manageable, cost-efficient platforms that support long-term business objectives.
Outside of work, Pascal enjoys exploring new technologies, automation, travelling, and trying to master the guitar.
Pascal will join element61 in May 2026.
