Over the last years, SQL Server Days - now called dataMinds Connect - has become a household name in the European SQL Server Community. For the 10th successive year the Belgian dataMinds community - previously called the SQL Server User Group or SQLUG.BE - and Microsoft are teaming up to organize the Belgian dataMinds Connect 2017.
Also, for the 10th year in a row, element61 supports the event & the annual User group activities.
This year, dataMinds Connect will again be a two-day conference, on October 2 & 3th, 2017 in Gent.
On the first day the agenda sets a series of deep dive trainings given by international speakers. The second day will be the main technical conference targeted to Database and Microsoft Business Intelligence professionals, similar to the previous SQL Server Days conferences. Building on the successful events of previous years, dataMinds Connect 2017 will again be the biggest ‘event focused on the Microsoft Data platform in Belgium and the surrounding countries.
We invite you to join the session of Bart Van Der Vurst & Breght Van Baelen, our colleagues in Advanced Analytics & Big Data. In their session “Why should I use SQL Server?” SQL Server 2017 from the perspective of a data scientist . In this talk, Bart & Breght make their assessment – as data scientists with limited SQL Server experience – on SQL Server as a data scientist tool.
dataMinds Connect 2017 will also be an anchor moment in the official launch momentum for SQL Server 2017 in Belgium. We’ll dive into the next major release of Microsoft’s flagship database and analytics platform with new capabilities like SQL on Linux, compatibility with Python, Graph Databases & many more.
