Liam Vanderstappen

Liam holds an Advanced Master in Data Science for Business and a Master in Business Management with a specialization in Management & IT from Ghent University, complemented by a Bachelor in Business Management with a focus on Finance and Insurance. This academic path has equipped him with a strong foundation at the intersection of business, data engineering, and advanced analytics.
 
He previously built his professional experience as a data engineer, working on the design and implementation of modern, cloud-based data platforms. Across several projects, Liam contributed to data migrations, pipeline development, reporting, and data governance, using technologies such as Fabric, Power BI, and Purview.
 
With the addition of his Advanced Master’s thesis, which focused on user segmentation based on click data patterns for personalized digital marketing strategies, Liam is now further specializing in the world of artificial intelligence and machine learning. He aims to combine his data engineering background with AI techniques to develop scalable, production-ready solutions that transform data into actionable business value.
 
Liam combines a structured approach and collaborative mindset, allowing him to bridge technical implementation and business needs. He also holds multiple Microsoft certifications in data engineering, analytics, and AI, underlining his commitment to continuous learning.
 
In his free time, Liam enjoys playing padel and squash and has a strong passion for cooking, where creativity and precision come together.
