Diederik Martens

Diederik obtained his Master in Business Engineering with a specialization in Data Science at KU Leuven in 2024. He is excited about the transformative potential of data analytics and AI and aims to continue deepening his end-to-end expertise in this exciting field. Taking on a specialty role that operates at the intersection between technical, tactical, and meaningful fits his profile particularly well.

Through his education, Diederik has already been exposed to a wide range of data engineering and analytics techniques, their use cases, and general best practices. Additionally, his thesis on handling code-switching in Natural Language Processing allowed him to obtain a deep understanding of multilingual large language models. His academic background is also complemented by hands-on experience working with Python, Spark, and SQL.

Beyond his academic and professional interests, he’s also characterized by his life-long passion for the art and craft of filmmaking. Finally, he loves spending quality time with friends, playing guitar, going on walks, and working out to clear his mind.
