Senior Analytics Architect
Bart is a SAP BW/4HANA Data Engineer and Analytics Consultant with over 20 years of experience in SAP BI/BW, enterprise data warehousing, and analytics. He specializes in BW7 to BW/4HANA migrations, ECC to S/4HANA analytics transitions, and the redesign of complex legacy data landscapes.
He combines deep technical expertise across BW/4HANA, ABAP, SQL, SQLScript, AMDP, and modern SAP extraction frameworks with a strong understanding of business processes, particularly in Plant Maintenance and Asset Maintenance. This allows him to bridge the gap between technical implementation and business value.
In recent years, Bart has taken end-to-end ownership of the PM analytics domain at STIB-MIVB, leading migration strategy, architecture redesign, consultant coordination, testing, UAT, and go-live readiness. His work significantly reduced landscape complexity, data volumes, and processing times, while improving maintainability and trust in the reporting layer.
Bart holds an Engineering degree from KU Leuven and is fluent in Dutch, French, and English, enabling him to operate effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders in multilingual environments.
He is currently expanding his expertise towards modern data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Business Data Cloud, positioning himself to help organizations transition their SAP data into future-proof, AI-ready architectures.
Outside of work, Bart enjoys strength training, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family.
Bart will (re-)join element61 in June 2026.
