Data Scientist

Arthur graduated with a Master in Statistics and Data Science at KU Leuven in 2024. Before that, he obtained a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Montreal in Canada. During his Master, he discovered a passion for problem-solving and leveraging business-actionable insights. He mostly enjoys the hands-on aspect that data science offers and is keen on programming, learning, and experimenting to grow his toolbox.

Motivated by a general sense of curiosity, deep interest in history, and international outlook on life, Arthur decided to pursue his undergraduate studies abroad, first in Canada and later through an exchange semester in Seoul, South Korea. These experiences strengthened a fascination for other cultures. Realising that he thrived in international environments and was eager to connect with people from all around the world, he decided to invest himself in Leuven’s Erasmus community. Consequently, he was elected as the trips manager of Leuven’s local ESN section in 2023. As such, he organised trips within and outside of Belgium for Erasmus students, as well as assisting with other events and ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation’s daily activities.

Aside from history, Arthur is also very interested in sports. In his youth, he played football as well as tennis and is now very invested in cycling. Nowadays, he mostly follows cycling and football competitions but keeps a close eye on the latest science around endurance disciplines and aspires to leverage his data science craft in the field of sports for personal and perhaps professional projects.

Arthur joined element61 in June 2025.
