Analytics Architect
Arthur is graduating with a Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering with a major in Data Science, after completing an earlier Master in Industrial Sciences with a specialisation in Electronics and ICT, both achieved at Ghent University. His growing passion for data science, machine learning, and intelligent systems throughout his academic journey inspired him to pursue a second master's degree.
Arthur is passionate about applying intelligent systems to real-world challenges that improve quality of life. This motivation led him to collaborate with research teams at imec and Ghent University for both of his master’s theses, focusing on machine learning solutions for remote healthcare. His first thesis explored specialised optimisation techniques for deploying deep learning models on edge devices, supporting the deployment of a Predictive Migraine Attack model. In his second thesis, he designed and evaluated six deep learning models for automated stress prediction, comparing their performance in terms of accuracy, interpretability, resource efficiency, and suitability for cloud-to-edge deployment.
Arthur has built a strong foundation in mathematics, engineering, and programming throughout his studies. He enjoys blending analytical thinking with creativity and clear communication. Always curious, he is eager to explore new technologies and continuously expand his skill set.
Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Arthur stays active through fitness and running and enjoys playing padel with friends. He also values catching up with friends over a casual drink.
Arthur will join element61 in September 2025.
