Volvo Group is a Swedish multinational manufacturing corporation headquartered in Gothenburg. Since 1927, Volvo has developed from a small local industry to one of the leading suppliers of commercial transport and infrastructure solutions providing products such as trucks, buses, construction equipment, and drive systems for marine and industrial applications.

Volvo Group has a plant in Ghent, Belgium. The Ghent facility is the largest truck factory of Volvo Group in the world. Volvo‘s entire European range of heavy trucks is produced and exported there. Furthermore, the Volvo Trucks plant in Ghent has been completely CO2 neutral since 2007. The Ghent site is also home to several logistics activities, including the group’s largest distribution centre, Service Market Logistics. In addition, you will also find several European services there, such as assistance and roadside assistance for drivers (Volvo Action Service) and technical support for dealers (Technical Dealer Support). Volvo Group employs more than 5,000 people in Belgium, of which approximately 3,200 in the Ghent truck plant.
