Jeremy Matthynssens

With an interest in both business and IT, Jeremy started his studies in Business and Information Systems Engineering at KU Leuven in 2018. After obtaining his bachelor's degree in Business Engineering, he switched studies and graduated with a Master of Economics in 2022. 

Wanting to pursue an interest in economics further, Jeremy additionally followed the Master of Advanced Studies in Economics (MASE), which had a heavy focus on economic data analysis using software such as R, MATLAB, STATA, and Python.

Having developed a mix of skills and knowledge with these studies, Jeremy joined element61 in September 2023. During his first 2 years at element61, Jeremy was part of the Performance Management team, with a focus on Vena. During 2025 he shifted roles to a Data Scientist to leverage his financial background into our Data Science and Analysis team. Currently he works as a Data Scientist and Software Developer.
