GDPR stands for 'General Data Protection Regulation' which is European set of regulations aimed to better protect the privacy and thus data of its citizens. GDPR wiill be active as of 2018 and will require every company to be compliant with a set of data protection regulations such as applying proper data masking when business analysts use data or the ability of a customer to 'be forgotten'.Full details and informations can be found here.

Data latency, in a data warehouse context, is the time between the creation of data in a source system and the exact time at which the same data is available for end users on the business intelligence platform.
