Mélanie Vercaempt

Mélanie obtained a Master in Business Engineering with a major in Data & Analytics at the University of Ghent in 2020. 

She started her career as a Data Analyst Consultant where she has built experience across different Business Intelligence projects. She has helped companies develop their BI strategy using Power BI and she obtained the Azure Data Engineering certificate. As her interests went beyond data analysis and visualization, she became a Data Scientist Consultant where she could develop her data science skills and build several models on AWS Cloud at Telenet. 

After learning a lot at her previous employer, her desire grew to do more project-based analysis and develop more soft skills, hence her start at element61. Mélanie joined element61 in September 2023. She gained experience in Azure and OpenAI during her first project where she created a Large Language Model to categorize and analyze customer emails. She also obtained the Power BI Data Analyst Certification and improved her soft skills during customer workshops. Driven by her passion for both data and building relationships, she changed roles in January 2024 from Data Consultant to Business Develop Manager.
