Customer Relations & Business Development
Jan Meir is an experienced Business Development manager working in Business Intelligence, Performance Management and Enterprise Resource Planning since 1993.
He started his career at ICS (now Transics) where he was responsible for business development for the French speaking part of Belgium. Later he moved on to IBS, where he worked as an Account manager for Financials, and Business Development manager for Business Intelligence during 4 years. In the process, he acquired business-related knowledge of Consolidation, Planning & Budgeting and BI & data warehousing. Later, he worked for software vendors such as IBM Cognos and Progress Software, in the role of Account manager and Business manager.
Having enjoyed several trainings in sales methodologies such as Solution Selling and Miller-Heiman, Jan believes a professional, structured approach towards Sales is beneficial to both the customer and to the selling company. More specifically, he will generally apply a consultative sales approach, focusing on the customers’ issues and needs, preferably rather than on pure ICT products & tools. Jan strongly believes that integrity and Business Development are not two things that exclude each other.
Jan holds a degree in Applied Economic Sciences (UFSIA Antwerp) and a Maîtrise en Administration & Gestion (UCL Louvain-La-Neuve).
In his free time, Jan enjoys music and cooking, and his 2 children. He is also a hands-on person (to be taken literally), something his friends appreciate from time to time.
