Five Key Takeaways from Qlik Connect

The world is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and to stay ahead, organizations need more than just AI. They need trusted data and actionable insights. That was the resounding message at Qlik Connect: “It’s not about having the fastest LLM, it’s about achieving real outcomes.”

Qlik’s vision is clearly resonating. In 2025, it stands alone as the only vendor recognized as a Leader in three Gartner Magic Quadrants:

  • Data Integration
  • Augmented Data Quality
  • Analytics & Business Intelligence

This triple leadership underscores Qlik’s unique ability to bridge strategy and execution, empowering organizations to turn data into confident decisions.

Here are my top five takeaways from Qlik Connect.

1. Qlik Answers for Structured and Unstructured Data

Qlik’s new Agentic Experience brings Qlik Answers to the next level. A key highlight is its integration with Qlik’s associative engine, empowering users to seamlessly analyze both structured and unstructured data. This enables intuitive interactions within their applications, extracting actionable insights directly and efficiently. Qlik Answers introduces a conversational interface that allows users to truly talk with their data simply by using natural language. This innovation bridges the gap between business users and developers, making analytics more accessible and impactful than ever. By leveraging the power of Qlik’s associative engine, Qlik Answers unlocks new dimensions in understanding and reasoning with data, redefining business intelligence for today's needs.

In addition to Qlik Answers, the Discovery Agent will also be part of Qlik's Agentic Experience. The Discovery Agent functions as a proactive assistant, continuously monitoring your data and automatically surfacing relevant insights without the need to open a dashboard. This transition from passive to proactive analytics allows users to respond to trends, anomalies, or opportunities as they occur, rather than after the fact.

2. Build your cost-effective, future-proof Open Lakehouse with Qlik Talend Cloud

The Qlik Open Lakehouse is a standout innovation and my personal favorite.

At its core is Apache Iceberg, a cutting-edge open table format that decouples storage from compute, enabling organizations to scale analytics without being locked into a single vendor. This architecture supports true data democratization, giving teams full control over their data while maintaining flexibility and cost-efficiency.

What makes it even more powerful:

  • High throughput real-time ingestion at scale, without runaway costs.
  • Continuous and adaptive Iceberg optimization boosts your downstream query speed.

This is more than just a data lake; it’s a foundation for building data products, feeding AI models, and enabling self-service analytics at scale. With Qlik Open Lakehouse, the future of analytics is open, real-time, and cost-efficient.

3. Writeback in Qlik Cloud Analytics without any extension

Qlik will soon support native writeback directly in Qlik Cloud Analytics. Users can edit table cells inline, such as updating forecasts or tagging records, without triggering a reload or using third-party extensions. This is a huge leap for operational analytics, enabling real-time collaboration and decision-making directly within dashboards.

4. Accelerate self-service with Table Recipes & Data Flows

Table Recipes are a new low-code feature that will further simplify data preparation at the table level. Combined with Data Flows, users can now build reusable, modular data pipelines with ease. This empowers analysts and business users to create data products faster without writing any code at all.

5. Now is the time to move to Qlik Cloud (if you are not there already)

Now is the time to move to Qlik Cloud, especially if you're not already there. Qlik has just launched its free Qlik Cloud Migration tool for Qlik Sense, QlikView, and NPrinting, making the shift easier than ever. You’ll retain your existing dashboards and reports while gaining access to the full power of Qlik Cloud, including AI-driven analytics, automated data pipelines, and reduced infrastructure costs. It’s the smartest way to future-proof your analytics.
