After the 2 successful BI-Day-events in 2009 and 2010, BI-community is organising the third edition on 15 September 2011 at the Aula Magna in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

element61 continues to support the Belgian Business Intelligence User community both from the content perspective and financially.

element61 customer Vandeputte Safety will present a case on their BI journey; "Supply Chain Performance Management through a best-of-breed BI Architecture" by Peggy Daneels, ICT Director.

Vandeputte Safety focuses on the development and distribution of a complete range of personal protection equipment (PPE) for industrial end users. Vandeputte Safety serves large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands, has annual revenues of about 70 million € and employs offer 200 people. Peggy Daneels, ICT Director will testify about the BI program of Vandeputte Safety. After an initial deployment of SAP Business Warehouse, Vandeputte Safety decided to implement a best-of-breed BI Architecture using Microsoft Business Intelligence on top of SAP ECC for optimizing Supply Chain Performance Management. The project and architecture has been realized in co-development and coaching by element61.

Keynote speaker for the 2011 BI day edition is Howard Dresner, Chief Research Officer of Dresner Advisory Services, LLC, active in the software industry since 1981. Among his many roles, Howard spent 13 years at Gartner, where he served as lead analyst for Business Intelligence. Since 2007 he became an independent industry analyst, author, lecturer and strategic advisor.

Other speakers include Tom Davenport (senior advisor to Deloitte Analytics), Hans Patrick Hultgren (Professor at Daniels College of Business), Steve Hoberman (world leading data modeling guru), Donna Burbank (CA Technologies), Shawn Rogers (Vice President of Research, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing at EMA) and many others.

This event is an opportunity for all industry experts, participants and vendors to share information on best-of-breed solutions, trends and case studies. Above all vendors can present their products and services to an audience of more than 500 business professionals in the area of Corporate Performance Management, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, data governance, data quality, operational BI, mobile BI and BI-as-a-Service.
