Peter Depypere

Peter graduated as a Master in Business Engineering from Ghent University with a specialization in Finance (2013).

He started his career at Delaware Consulting where he was part of the SAP FICO team, gaining his first experience as a Financial Consultant. Together with this team, he was in charge of the implementation and worldwide roll-out of a SAP financial ERP-system as well as setting up the structures to facilitate Financial Reporting and Consolidation. He also worked together with the financial department of the customer to create the reports for both legal and management reporting.

Early 2015, Peter decided to continue his career at Cisco as a Partner Account Manager. At Cisco, he became responsible for the success of a defined set of partners with a wide range of responsibilities. He had to introduce the partners to the innovations Cisco brought to the market and support them to create a service around these innovations. Furthermore, he was responsible for the overall business success of Cisco within these partners as well as making sure this business was profitable. It's there Peter learned the importance of capturing and reporting the right data in order to make data-driven decisions. He also took a project role in various partner projects and started to create dashboards for himself and his team in PowerBI to measure the success of the partners across segments, architectures and territories. 

Because of his business experience together with his tech-savviness, Peter is able to act as a guide for organizations to define how technology can help them in being more successful. In the summer of 2018, Peter joined element61 as a Data Strategist with the aim to help organizations achieve business objectives through Data Strategy & Data Science. Today he leads the Data Science & Analysis team.

Since he joined element61 Peter acts as project manager and senior expert to guide customers on a strategic level in analytics projects. Peter has a strength in translating business needs & requirements to technology. He's a certified Azure expert holding both the Azure Fundamentals and Azure Data Engineer certification and is experienced in PowerBI. With this experience, Peter is a perfect fit as a project manager (both from technical and business point of view).
