Joydip Das

Joydip completed his computer science and engineering in 2010 and started his career in Business Intelligence and Performance Management for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for his passion for database design and data engineering.

In the first two years, Joydip worked as an Informatica PowerCenter developer to build a data warehouse in Oracle for a US-based insurance company and gained his interest in ETL, SQL and reporting.

Joydip then joined another project in TCS for a large telecom company in Belgium where he evolved from an operations support lead to senior developer, key analyst and finally to a BI architect, responsible for end-to-end reporting solutions in a very complex technical ecosystem consisting of Teradata, MicroStrategy, Informatica, AbInitio, PowerBI and lot more. 

In 2019 Joydip started his Azure journey to build an Enterprise Data Hub consisting of more than 100 sources with main services like- Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks and Synapse.

In the summer of 2021, Joydip decided to join element61 to enhance his Azure journey. Since joining element61 Joydip has worked on mainly 2 projects in his first year- a large manufacturing company and a large media company to help them build a Modern Data Platform and reporting solutions.

Besides implementing the projects correctly Joydip likes to validate his skills with certifications and is an advocate of taking certifications in a variety of technologies and soft skills. He is currently certified in Oracle, Teradata, MicroStrategy and Telecom TM Forum Domain. In the Azure context, he has already obtained certificates in Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solution Architect and Azure Administrator, also obtained certification in PowerBI.

In his free time, Joydip likes to spend time with his family & friends, as well as travel, photograph and cooking.
