Nico Sacré has been working in Business Analytics & Performance Management since 1995.
During this time, he has been managing both small to very large Financial Reporting, Performance Management, Consolidation and Business Analytics projects. He has successfully led various teams at customer side and in the consulting and software sector.
In 1995, Nico graduated as a bachelor in Accountancy, which resulted in a first job where he was doing the bookkeeping for various small & medium businesses.
Very soon, he got drawn by the more international business of DHL, where he started working at as a junior accountant. As systems fanatic, he became the system administrator of their Hyperion system. Over the years, he led various large Performance Management implementations with project teams up to 30 people (with a permanent team of 10).
He implemented Frango (now IBM Cognos Controller) and later SAP SEM BCS/BPS (now SAP BPC) on SAP NW with a (IBM Cognos) TM1 reporting solution on top of it. Implementations had an effect on 228 countries and +/- 2.000 users. Nico was not only Program Manager, but got in depth insight of the CPM/EPM solutions (i.e. he gave end-user training worldwide). He also presented the results of the implementations on various international User Conferences (Frango, SAP).
After 9 years traveling the world, he joined the French consultancy company Business & Decision as their Financial System practice manager. He led here again a team implementing Corporate Performance Management solutions. Besides leading the team and working as a project manager, he also worked as a functional and technical expert in CPM at various customers. At that time, it was mainly Hyperion (now Oracle), Frango (now IBM Cognos Controller), SAP and Outlooksoft (now also SAP).
In 2006, he joined software company Outlooksoft as their Professional Services manager, ensuring that from the moment a software project was sold, the solution was successfully implemented. Nico both led the team and remained hands-on involved in software implementation as a Principal consultant. Mixing the functional (financial) and technical skills were the key to success.
Two years later in 2008, SAP bought Outlooksoft, and Nico joined SAP.
Nico has worked at SAP for 8 years, mainly as Principal Consultant/Solution Architect in Business Analytics, with a focus on Enterprise/Corporate Performance Management, with the last years leading the SAP Business Analytics team in SAP Belux.
Early 2016, Nico decided to join the element61 management team bringing his wealth of experience & expertise to the customers and team and to help element61 to continue on its path of accelerated growth and permanent drive to be the most "Thought-leading Business Analytics consulting company” in the Belux market.
In his free time, Nico enjoys eating out, watching a good movie, Salsa dancing and golf.
