Thomas graduated as a Master of Business Administration at KU Leuven with a specialization in International Business Management.
After completing his studies, it soon became clear that he wanted to enrich his commercial skills with technical expertise and decided to start his professional career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
As an account manager he was responsible for the entire sales cycle of enterprise solutions for around 250 customers. This experience helped him in building his interpersonal skills in order to better help companies translate their needs into technology driven solutions.
At the beginning of 2017, Thomas moved to the European headquarters of Microsoft in Dublin, where he acted as an extended advisor within the Azure team and intensively guided clients to maximize the value of Microsoft’s Cloud platform.
After a year, Thomas decided to combine his technical knowledge and commercial skills and started as a Partner Development Manager in Belgium, where he was responsible for strategic business planning for a defined set of partners. The purpose of this role was to develop a service portfolio on top of the Microsoft technology stack. Thorough market knowledge was essential in order to predict shortcomings in the partner landscape and to build and market solutions in response.
Thomas joined element61 in September 2019 as a Customer Relationship & Business Development Manager.
