Nicolas Ballieu is an experienced financial consultant, with both excellent knowledge and practical experience in consolidation, controlling and of the most frequently used Consolidation and Reporting solutions, including IBM Cognos Controller, SAP BPC/BFC and Tagetik. He became a consultant in 2010 and has been involved since then in numerous, interesting and challenging Conso & Reporting projects.

Nicolas attended Solvay Business School in Belgium and holds a Master of Science in Management. He started his career in 2003 as controller at the HQ of ABX Logistics Worldwide, where he analysed monthly results, set up budgets and forecasts, followed up performance of subsidiaries and participated in the consolidation process and the IFRS implementation.

After 4 years, he became Controller at Royal Canin, where he was also responsible for a small team of 6 people in sales administration and logistics. He also followed-up the stock control and the supply chain and the implementation of a warehouse management system.

In 2010 Nicolas joined CFObelux and became a highly appreciated financial consultant with excellent consolidation knowledge. He provides consolidation support on a regular basis during closing periods for Groups such as KBC, CFE and Magotteaux. His practical knowledge and reporting software experience enables him to integrate very quickly in existing reporting and consolidation teams and provides him with the necessary background in case of implementation of new (versions) of reporting software.

During a few months in 2013, Nicolas was part of the consolidation experts of Deloitte, where amongst other assignments he was involved in the automation of the annual report at the Colruyt Group. Nicolas returned to CFObelux in 2014 as consolidation and reporting manager and finally joined element61 in 2017 as Principal Financial Reporting and Consolidation Architect.
