Elements in TM1 are used to define data in cubes. Every element has a type associated with it: simple(number), string and consolidated element. A simple element is the lowest level in the hierarchy. A string element contains string information. An element that has aggregated data in a cube is a consolidated element.
The format of the attributes of the elements can be modified by the developer.
