BI Progam Management
The main/initial deliverables of the BI program at Alpega are Tableau dashboards (both internal and external customers/shippers; eg. Performance reports, KPIs regarding Call-off, Trace, Slot bookings and Carrier scorecards) and a self-service reporting/analysis environment (mainly for internal/strategy).
Big data and Advanced Analytics are also on the radar to unveil hidden value within the data (going from data deduplication towards trade-lane analysis and support in lead generation programs)
The technical architecture consists of Google Bigquery and Tableau. It currently co-exists with a legacy systems hosted on Oracle databases with Talend as ETL and OBIEE as reporting layer.
The BI team, consisting of local Alpega resources (project manager, functional/business analysts, technical lead and functional lead) supported by nearshore resources in Minsk (mainly technical). The project is managed in an agile/scrum manner. The technical team is managing the implementation part of the project and delivering the various solutions. Currently the “reporting/dashboarding” solutions are being created towards the different applications/application owners. (Transwide, SPOT bidding, TAS, Teleroute). Integration with Salesforce data manages the company/customer hierarchy.
