IBM Cognos 10 is the newest Cognos Business Intelligence and Planning release. IBM Cognos 10 provides in a unified BI workspace all the tools you need to manipulate and analyze data. Users can now access all the Business Intelligence functionalities from one single application. IBM Cognos 10 also provides a new collaborative way of working through the integration with the Lotus Connections software, allowing users to communicate and discuss the information resulting from the BI platform, in a more efficient way.
With the integration of the SPSS engine, IBM Cognos 10 offers new predictive analytics capabilities to analyze the data in addition to the existing BI capabilities. Together with the "what-if” scenario capabilities of the analytical module, it allows IBM Cognos 10 to get better insight in your historical data in order to forecast the future. IBM Cognos 10 is also moving forward in giving access to information by sharing it with other applications using the new mashup capabilities, allowing the user to get dynamic off-line reports by email or to access their data on all the mobile devices, including Apple, Blackberry, Symbian or Windows based devices.
