Barry Jansen

Barry Jansen is working in Corporate Performance Management and Business Intelligence since 2005. He mainly focuses on the implementation of business solutions in IBM Cognos Planning Analytics and CCH Tagetik.

Due to his study of industrial engineering and many years of experience, Barry can analyse and understand complex reporting processes within an organization. Barry is specialized in structuring the complex real-life world in understandable models that help organizations, get more insight into their business through the automation of Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting processes.

Barry started his career building Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting models in IBM Cognos Planning. Later, with the integration of IBM Cognos Planning and IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, he enlarged his expertise area with Cognos BI front-end tools. From the moment Cognos TM1 (and further evolved to IBM Planning Analytics) was added to the IBM Cognos product portfolio, Barry focused more and more on IBM Planning Analytics.  Since 2018 he added CCH Tagetik to his skillset.

Today at element61 Barry mixes CCH Tagetik and IBM Planning Analytics projects. His role is one of a principal consultant, tackling the full scala of Performance Management processes. He operates within all phases of the implementation process and is keen on delivering excellent quality with respect to timelines. Next to that, Barry communicates professionally and anticipates well depending on the customer-specific context or project challenges.

In his personal life, Barry has a busy family life & the time that is left goes to running, fitness, skiing and carp fishing.
